The Last Shadow Puppets is an English indie rock band, which is a side project of Alex Turner of Sheffield band Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane of Liverpool band The Rascals.

'The Age Of The Understatement' is the debut album by The Last Shadow Puppets, featuring Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane of The Rascals and Simian Mobile Disco member James Ford. It was released on April 21st 2008 in the UK, following the release of their eponymous single in the previous week. It entered the UK Album Chart at No.1 on April 27th 2008. The video for the single 'The Age Of The Understatement', was shot in Moscow, Russia, by director Romain Gavras and features Turner and Kane walking through the Russian capital.
